Strawberry Jam Danish


  • 1 pack of ready made puff pastry*
  • 8 tbsp of Chivers Strawberry Jam
  • 1 mug strawberries, sliced
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Cream cheese or Yogurt to serve

*Refrigerated or frozen is fine, just make sure to bring it room temperature according to packet instructions.


  1. Preheat your oven to 220C (425F).
  2. Line a large baking tray with baking paper.
  3. Unroll your puff pastry. Slice into 8 rectangles.
  4. Place puff pastry pieces onto your prepared baking tray (or two smaller trays).
  5. Create a border by scoring a smaller rectangle into each piece of pastry using a sharp knife.
  6. Use a fork to prick the inside of the rectangle on each piece of pastry a few times to prevent the inside rising too much.
  7. Brush each piece of pastry with beaten egg using a pastry brush.
  8. Mix jam with strawberries.
  9. Place 1 tbsp of the jam mixture onto each of the puff pastry pieces and spread to the corners of the inner rectangle.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes; the edges should be puffed up, golden and bottom of each piece of pastry beautifully crisp.
